Mola Foundation: a site whose job is to turn readers into donors
The Mola Foundation site was designed and built by Viva Studio for a not-for-profit working on maternal and newborn health in Papua New Guinea. It is the one entry in this portfolio that is a website rather than an application, and the only one where success is measured in donations rather than sign-ups.

The problem
A not-for-profit's work is only fundable if a stranger can understand it in about a minute. Mola runs incentive programs to increase supervised births and newborn care across Papua New Guinea — genuinely unfamiliar work to most readers, and the explanation has to land before the ask does.
Who it is for
Potential donors and supporters, most of whom arrive knowing nothing about the organisation or the problem it works on.
What we built
The features that make up the product as it runs today.
- Explains the incentive programs the foundation runs, in terms a reader with no background can follow.
- Turns visitors into donors, rather than stopping at describing the work.
Stack and integrations

The hard parts we solved
Any studio can list features. These are the parts that were genuinely difficult.
Explaining unfamiliar work before asking for money
Supervised births and newborn-care incentives are not something most visitors have thought about. The site has to build enough understanding for a donation to feel like an obvious next step, without turning into a report nobody finishes.
