EzAussie: putting a whole local economy on one searchable site
EzAussie is a community marketplace Viva Studio designed, built and runs. It is live, and this page covers what it does today.
The problem
Local businesses, rental properties, services and second-hand items are each scattered across a different site, group or feed. Someone looking for any of them locally has to know where to look first, and a small business hoping to be found has to be in all of those places at once.
Who it is for
Local businesses wanting to be found, and community members searching for properties, services or items for sale nearby.
What we built
The features that make up the product as it runs today.
- Properties, services and items for sale are searchable on a single site rather than scattered across several.
- Categories to browse by, for visitors who are looking around rather than searching for one thing.
- A recent-listings view, so the site shows activity rather than an archive.
- Member accounts, so listings belong to someone who can manage them.

The hard parts we solved
Any studio can list features. These are the parts that were genuinely difficult.
One search across several different kinds of thing
A property, a service and an item for sale have almost nothing in common as records, yet a visitor expects to find all three from one search box. Making categories that hold genuinely different shapes of listing without the search becoming useless is the central design problem.
